Check out how Claudia S. earned major points for planning such a fun girl's night.
"It was my turn to decide what to do for "Girls Night Out" for my friends' group. AHHH! - instant anxiety attack. I had no idea what else to come up with rather then the usual Bunco nights, rom com marathon or board games. But then it hit me: how about a paint and sip night? I could transform my living room into a little art studio, complete with canvases, paint, brushes, and a selection of wine. Everyone could get creative, sip on their favorite drinks, and chat as they painted. I wasn’t sure if everyone would be into it, but I figured it was worth a shot.
I ordered some painting kits online which came with everything including a video tutorial that made it simple for everyone to follow along. As the girls walked in, I greeted them with aprons and wine glasses—immediately setting the tone for a fun, laid-back evening. Some of us were serious about the painting, while others just wanted to splash colors around. No one cared if they were “good” at it—everyone was just having fun.
By the end of the night, we all had our own colorful pieces of art to take home, and a few laughs to go along with them. Not only did it give us a creative break from the usual routine, but it also turned out to be one of our most memorable nights together. I was relieved to have tried something different and couldn't wait for the next girls' night!"
